GAME FORMAT



Game format for the event:
  • 8 minute game
  • 6 players/team
  • game starts with 6 players on field
  • after 2 min, drop starts to 5 v 5
  • after another 2 min, drop to 4 v 4 
  • game is played for a final 2 min in a 3 v 3 situation
  • team with more total full time score wins
  • if at full time in the round robin format the scores are equal -- it is a draw

*Semi-finals and finals must have a result: if scores draw, game will enter the golden rule --> team who scores first and no touchdowns conceded upon next defense 

‘Drop-off’ event – 

  • Time is set at the 8 minute start time 
  • Game commences with the sound of the hooter
  • Hooter is sounded every 2 minute interval for the player drop-off
  • The clock is not stopped at any time during the game
  • The referees are to instruct players to ‘drop’ a player at the appropriate time
  • The hooter will sound when the game is over (when time is at zero)
ALL TOUCH FOOTBALL RULES APPLY THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE DURATION OF EACH GAME
